Journal Week #2

Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even if you don't want to do it.  I think that is true.  I feel like I have developed a fair amount of discipline in my life thus far.  That is not to say that I couldn't use more!  Especially when it comes to housework.  I tend to give myself little rewards once I have completed a task I wasn't eager to do.  Time to stitch after cleaning the bathroom is a good reward.

Discipline and routines, for things we (or our children) don't really like to do, getting up in the morning, brushing teeth, cleaning the bathtub, stocking up on groceries.... is necessary to manage when there is a crises. E.g. it is much easier getting through bereavement or depression if you have a regular daily routine to hold on to.
