piano hinge journal

I used a number of different papers to create this journal.  They are all soft and gentle colors.  Some of papers are printed on one side, some are natural, handmade papers.  I also used vellum and mulberry papers.  I really like it.  I'm not sure what I will use it for but that's not important.  For me the important thing is to just make it.

Have a sparkly day!

It's beautiful! Love how you used different speciality papers.

I am in total agreement ~ I receive the greatest satisfaction making the books and do not have to have a use in mind.

Hi Angela,

I read about your book in the yahoo book arts forum. Like you, as you indicate in your last 2 sentences, the purpose of making the book is not so much about its ultimate use, but simply that it's there to be made!

This looks very nice. How do the pages turn in these books? Do they go smoothly?

I think a book is a piece of art in its own right. Whether you use it is a different matter.
